Ask Big Questions helps colleges, universities, and other organizations engage young adults in reflective conversations about purpose, identity, and responsibility. These conversations build trust, strengthen community, and deepen understanding across lines of difference. Specialties: Facilitation, Purpose, Community Conversations, Diversity (LinkedIn) Since 2011, Ask Big Questions has trained more than 1,000 students, faculty, and staff on more than 75 college campuses, who have in turn engaged more than 35,000 students in intentional, reflective, communal conversations. Important questions have always been at the heart of the Jewish tradition. Hillel?s namesake, Rabbi Hillel the elder, is most famous for asking: ?If I am not for myself, who will be for me? When I am for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?? The answers to these and other big questions are as relevant today as they were centuries ago, for Jews and non-Jews alike. And as a recognized leader in helping students explore their identity, Hillel is uniquely positioned to create spaces for meaningful communal conversation. Through Ask Big Questions, Hillel is creating a new language for Jewish life and human experience. Ask Big Questions conversations can happen in classrooms or clubs, fraternities and sororities, first-year orientation, alternative break trips, and countless other settings on campus. Our role is to provide the methods, training, and flexible tools needed to make these discussions inclusive, fun, and meaningful. Big Questions are different than Hard Questions. Hard questions rely on expertise and lead to debates. Big Questions rely on wisdom and experience. They lead to conversations. Big Questions are questions that matter to everyone and that everyone can answer. There are questions that matter to all of us, wherever we come from. Questions all of us can answer, whatever our background. Where do you feel at home? What are you thankful for? For whom are we responsible? These are Big Questions. Each month, we focus on a different Big Question. Visit askbigquestions.org to learn more and start asking and answering Big Questions.
